We created a brand new industry event for developers who build low-latency, high performance applications, hosted virtually on the Hopin platform. Records were set and the event immediately became an annual affair. The terrific work by the @P99CONF crew has me wondering if virtual conferences might be the future: the platform fostered collaboration, the price was right (free!), and (best of all?) the videos are already out! ScyllaDB pivoted their annual user conference into a virtual event (on a dizzying timeline) hosted on the Hopin virtual event platform. The event smashed expectations by drawing 10x the typical crowd for half the budget and left internal stakeholders wondering why it wasn't virtual all along. |

I went into this conference expecting a content-free, hard sell on all things ScyllaDB. Instead I found myself pleasantly surprised at both the content and format of all aspects of the conference. The supporting documentation is also excellent.
